Root Word Ring: Activity for Middle School Speech & Language
Help your students improve their vocabulary by using roots to understand the meaning of words! Match common root words (i.e. auto, dict, tri, port, etc.) with their meanings, and then have students define a multitude of words that use the given roots (i.e. automatic, dictionary, triangle, transport). Also included is a blank page for tracking student responses that can be used as an anchor chart once completed.

This resource was created for upper elementary and middle school students, but could also be used for high school speech and language therapy. Cards can be printed, cut, laminated, and stored on a binder ring, or they can be used as a digital worksheet. This word ring can be paired with a game or used as a standalone activity.
