Bookmarks for reading comprehension strategies, text structure, and making connections
These visuals can be utilized to support reading comprehension while paired with any text at the student’s reading level. Model each strategy while reading together or encourage the student to complete graphic organizers about the text. Students can color and decorate bookmarks, and use them to promote carryover of each strategy during independent reading (great as a distance learning assignment!). All graphic organizers and visuals can be used digitally (great for screen sharing during teletherapy sessions!) or printed as a physical resource.
