This game is a fun, engaging way for students to practice using and understanding a variety of suffixes, word forms, and parts of speech!
Great for either playing as a game or for using to practice generating syntactically correct sentences. The object of the game is to earn the most points by creating grammatically correct sentences. Each game card contains either 2, 3, or 4 words that differ by suffix. Players can earn from 1 to 4 points per word if they are accurately able to use it in a sentence. Visuals for 15 common suffixes are included, as well as 120 game cards that are differentiated into three levels.
Level I - 2 words (ex. repeat/repetition, believe/believable, impress/impressive)
Level II - 3 words (ex. hope/hopeful/hopeless, enjoy/enjoyable/enjoyment)
Level III - 4 words (ex. decoration/decorating/decorate/decorative, happy/happiest/happily/happiness)
Visuals - included for 15 common English suffixes with the suffix's meaning, part of speech, example words with definitions, and example sentences. Suffixes include -ness, -tion, -able, -full, -less, -ly, -ive, -ous, and more!
