There are three sets of cards: Open-Ended, Receptive, and Expressive.
Open-Ended (48 cards + 4 verb lists) - includes 48 real photos of various actions. These cards are perfect for introducing verbs, receptive or expressive identification, matching, synonyms and shades of meaning, expanding sentences, practicing tenses, and more!
Receptive (24 cards) - each card contains two opposing pictures with instructions to “find…(verb).” These cards are great for assessing vocabulary and include functional verbs like: pouring, serving, folding, etc. as well as tier 2 verbs such as: assisting, refusing, demonstrating, etc.
Expressive (24 cards) - each card in this set includes a photo with a list of possible verbs to use when creating or completing sentences. These cards are ideal for practice with various tenses, expanding sentences, and using descriptive action-related vocabulary.
These Verb Photo Cards can be viewed as a pdf or printed and prepped for use as a physical resource. If printed, they are optimally sized for storage in a 4x6 photo box. Recommended for use with elementary or middle school students.
