This resource includes 30 ‘Put a finger down if..’ end of the year and summer themed statement cards with sentence starters! To complete this activity, students each hold up 10 fingers. Choose any 10 cards at random – as you read each one, students should put one finger down if the statement applies to them. Individuals can expand on their answers and practice conjunctions (i.e. and, but, because…) using the ‘Respond’ sentence starters. The person with the most fingers down after 10 cards is the winner.
This resource was created for upper elementary through high school, and is great for end of the year reflections, sparking conversations, and getting to know your students this summer season!
