This open-ended resource includes 100 PHOTO CARDS for introducing, assessing, and targeting adjectives during speech and language sessions. There are three sections: Opposites, Receptive, and Expressive.
Opposites (40 cards) - includes 20 opposite pairs (bright/dark, heavy/light, fast/slow, etc.). These cards are perfect for identifying attributes, describing objects, matching, naming synonyms (i.e. “find a synonym for rapid/sluggish”), expanding sentences, introducing adjectives, and more!
Receptive (30 cards) - each card contains two opposing pictures with instructions to “find…(adjective).” These cards are great for assessing vocabulary and include adjectives like: steep, fragile, expensive, ripe, etc.
Expressive (30 cards) - each card in this set includes a photo with a phrase to complete using at least one of several listed adjectives. These cards are ideal for practice with expanding sentences and using descriptive vocabulary.
Cards can be viewed as a pdf or printed and prepped for use as a physical resource. They are optimally sized for storage in a 4x6 photo box. Recommended for use with upper elementary or middle school students.
